The most common question about SOPCam is a fair one: what actually happens between someone filming a job and a worker following a checklist? This page walks that path on pre-built synthetic material, and says plainly which parts of it the product supports today.

Pre-built synthetic demonstration — no file was uploaded and no live vision model was called. Every image below is an abstract drawing shipped with this page, not a photograph, and every line of text was written in advance.

Interpreted observations

What the source material shows, before anyone decides what the procedure should say. Observations are not instructions.

The observations become a draft with an order, and — just as importantly — a stated list of what could not be determined from the source.

Press line B — start-of-shift start-up and safety check

  1. Confirm the area around the press is clear and the previous shift's work is removed.
  2. Check the guard door is closed and seated, and the interlock indicator is steady.
  3. Check the lubrication sight glass is within the marked band.
  4. Set the mode selector to the setting used for normal production.
  5. Run one dry cycle with no material loaded and watch for unusual noise or movement.
  6. Load the first part and produce a first-off piece for checking.

What the draft could not determine

  • The correct mode-selector setting was not stated clearly in the narration — a supervisor must specify it.
  • The narration says "call maintenance" but names no escalation route; this must be filled in.
  • Whether the first-off piece is checked by the operator or by quality is not shown.

Manager review

A named person corrects the draft, and each correction carries the reason it was asked for. This is the step that turns a plausible document into a procedure somebody is willing to sign.

  1. Name the mode-selector setting explicitly rather than "normal production".

    Why: "Normal" is exactly the word a new operator will interpret differently. The setting has a label on the panel; use it.

  2. Add the escalation route by role, not by name.

    Why: People change roles. A procedure that names a person goes stale the week someone moves.

  3. Split the first-off check into its own step owned by quality.

    Why: The operator producing the piece should not be the only person confirming it is good.

  4. Move the interlock warning above the steps rather than beneath them.

    Why: The one thing that must never happen should not be read last.

The published procedure

Approved by a person, released as a fixed version, and reduced to something a worker can follow one-handed mid-shift.

Audience: Press operators and production supervisors, Plant 1 and Plant 2.

  1. Confirm the area around the press is clear and the previous shift's work is removed.
  2. Check the guard door is closed and seated, and the interlock indicator is steady green. If it is not steady, stop and escalate to the shift maintenance technician.
  3. Check the lubrication sight glass is within the marked band; top up with the approved lubricant if it is below.
  4. Set the mode selector to PRODUCTION (the labelled detent, not AUTO).
  5. Run one dry cycle with no material loaded and listen for unusual noise or movement.
  6. Load the first part and produce a first-off piece.
  7. Hand the first-off piece to the quality checker before continuing the run.

  • A human reviewer correcting the draft, approving it, and publishing a fixed version.

  • Uploading a standalone screenshot or photograph as the source. The upload path accepts video, not images.
  • Pointing the product at a screen recording tool, a document, or a link and having it watch on your behalf.
